Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at di.theyogawitch@yogawithdilynn.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Absolutely.
I’m queer myself, and many members of my family, and staff are also LGBTQIA2S+ and gender-nonconforming. This space was intentionally built to be welcoming, affirming, and compassionate toward people who have too often been made to feel unsafe, unseen, or “too much.”

Many Witchlings arrive here carrying religious trauma, shame, burnout, perfectionism, or the exhaustion of constantly having to defend who they are. My goal is not to create a space where people must earn belonging.

This is a community rooted in kindness, curiosity, embodiment, mutual respect, and care.

You do not need to hide who you are here.

No, I am not trans myself. I have numerous trans and non-binary loved ones who are very important and deeply loved in my life.
Human beings deserve the freedom to exist without constantly having to defend or explain their humanity.

“Witchling” is the affectionate term I use for members of the community.
Some people here actively practice witchcraft. Some practice yoga. Some are spiritual-but-unsure. Some are recovering perfectionists trying to reconnect with themselves after burnout.

Witchling simply means you’ve pulled up a chair near the fire.

Absolutely not.
Witchlings come from many different paths, beliefs, and backgrounds. Many people in this community are witches or spiritually curious, but many are not. Some are here for yoga. Some are here for mindfulness, nervous-system care, community, philosophy, tarot, folklore, or honest conversations about being human.

(But if you decide you’d like to learn to be one, we’ll happily train you.) 😉

You are welcome to take what resonates and leave what doesn’t.

No gatekeeping required.

My personal practice blends folk spirituality, seasonal living, energy work, mindfulness, ritual, divination, yoga philosophy, and decades of lived experience. My practice is shaped by my Scottish, Irish, English, and Prussian ancestry, alongside influences from family traditions, community learning, and years of personal exploration.

I also believe deeply in discernment, ethics, respect for closed practices, and the understanding that no one path works for everyone.

My practice is less about aesthetic perfection and more about awareness, embodiment, relationship, and care.

HeartFire is the philosophy at the center of much of my work.
It is the practice of tending yourself gently enough that your spirit can keep burning without consuming you.

HeartFire is not hustle culture disguised as spirituality.
It is not perfectionism wrapped in wellness language.

It is about sustainable care, nervous-system awareness, embodiment, mindfulness, ritual, rest, growth, compassion, and learning how to remain human in difficult times.

Sometimes the work is movement.
Sometimes the work is stillness.
Sometimes the work is simply learning to soften before collapse.

All of it matters.

 Very much so.
You do not need to be flexible, experienced, thin, athletic, or spiritually advanced to begin yoga.

My approach to yoga focuses on accessibility, nervous-system care, breath, mindfulness, embodiment, and meeting people where they are — including people living with chronic illness, disability, pain, trauma, fatigue, or burnout.

Yoga is not about performing wellness.
It is about building relationship with yourself.

Start wherever you feel pulled.

Some Witchlings begin with the livestreams. Some begin with Witchy 101. Some arrive through yoga, meditation, tarot, folklore, nervous-system care, or simple curiosity. Others stumble into the community because they are exhausted, burned out, grieving, spiritually adrift, or trying to reconnect with themselves after years of survival mode.

There is no “correct” doorway into this space.

Take your time. Explore what resonates. Lurk quietly if you need to. The fire will still be here.

No.

People in this community come from many different spiritual backgrounds — including paganism, witchcraft, Christianity, agnosticism, atheism, spiritual-but-unsure spaces, and paths that don’t fit neatly into labels at all.

My work is rooted in mindfulness, embodiment, ritual, compassion, curiosity, discernment, and community care rather than demanding a single belief system from everyone who walks through the door.

You are welcome to engage in ways that feel authentic and safe for you.

While I do not hold formal trauma-informed certification, my approach to yoga and mindfulness is deeply shaped by lived experience as both a trauma survivor/thriver and Spoonie.

I teach from a place of nervous-system awareness, accessibility, consent, compassion, and the understanding that every body carries different histories, limitations, needs, and experiences.

There is no expectation of perfection here.

Students are encouraged to listen to their bodies, modify as needed, rest when necessary, and engage from a place of curiosity rather than punishment or performance.

My goal is not to force people into “ideal” poses or wellness culture perfectionism, but to create a space where people can reconnect with themselves gently and honestly.

Absolutely.

As a witch who is chronically ill, disabled, neuro-spicy, and navigating my own mental health realities, yes — I absolutely work with people like me.

I feel uniquely qualified to support members of my own communities because I understand firsthand that healing, embodiment, mindfulness, spirituality, and self-care often look very different in real life than they do in polished wellness spaces.

I would never dream of demanding perfection from anyone. Productivity is fluid. Performative wellness is often more damaging than helpful.

You are allowed to exist here in all your spicy, Spoonie glory — including on your worst days.

Offerings may include:
🕯 tarot and oracle readings
🕯 intuitive guidance
🕯 yoga and meditation practices
🕯 life coaching and support
🕯 officiant services and ceremonies
🕯 spiritual consultations
🕯 classes, livestreams, and workshops
🕯 community gatherings and events

My approach focuses on grounded support, discernment, embodiment, compassion, and practical care rather than fear tactics, dependency-based spirituality, or pretending to have all the answers.
